Butyl rubber

Compared to natural rubber and other synthesis rubbers, butyl rubber has a very low permeability for air, water steam and other gases. Further advantages are very good resistance to heat, oxygen, ozone and chemicals. Areas of application: Everywhere where low gas permeability and good heat and ageing resistance is demanded, like e.g. with car hoses, inner coatings of tyres without tubes, acid protective clothing, seals and membranes etc. Further possibilities for use in the cable industry as well as for electric insulation.
