Fender are built on customers request. Sizes vary to suit the special requirements. The material, chosen by the design engineers, is important to create the fender characteristic in regard to energy absorption, elasticity and reaction forces.
Cylindrical fenders are able to withstand large compressive deformation with low reaction load. It is also freely secured without the necessity of precise anchor bolt arrangements.
Pneumatic Rubber Fender
In contrast to the general rubber fender using the elasticity of rubber,
this one utilizes the compressibility and elasticity of air. Therefore, the shock absorption rate is substantially upgraded. The properties of compressed air remains constant throughout the working life of the Fender, giving consistent values of Energy Absorption and Reaction Forces.
Light weight and easy to handle, pneumatic fenders enable the large stand-off required for offshore cargo transfer between tankers or between factory ships and trawlers. Heavy-duty construction withstands both impact and aggressive environments, so that pneumatic fenders are a cost-effective option for intensive long-term use.
Square fenders: Square rubber fenders are robust, low wearing components for absorbing high loads under axial stress. When mounted at water level, excellent sliding characteristics of the wet rubber in conjunction with the spring characteristics combine to provide effective damage protection.
D-fenders: D-fenders are widely used as side beltings and protective fenders on many tugs, workboats and pilotboats.
Keyhole fenders: Keyhole fenders are used as an alternative to W-fenders in case of extremely heavy loads. The keyhole cross-section is very tough but can be curved around the hull.
Floating foam fenders: Floating foam fenders are mainly used for fendering in the ship-to-quay and ship-to-ship sector. Through the flexible production process virtually anyrequired dimension can be produced. High energy absorption, low reactionforce, unsinkable and a long servicelife characterise these fenders.
Pneumatic fenders: Pneumatic fender consist of high strength synthetic fabric rubberised on both sides. Eventhough they are bulky when used, these fenders can be easily store, due to the small pack dimensions. Compared with their size, the weight is low. The fender can be filled by means of the usual on-board systems. Load mainly radial.
Trapezoidal fenders: Trapezoidal fenders normally used in applications where a small distance must be maintained between the quay wall and vessel (e.g. crane with short booms). Trapezoidal fenders are available with and without vulcanised steel plate at the top. The steel plate version can be installed as a fender system, e.g. with premounted steel structure and/or PE protecting strips for guidance purposes. They are normally fitted vertically or horizontally to structures.
W-fenders: The W-fender is especially suitable for: tugs and push tugs, ice- breakers and pontoons, piles for platforms and bridges, angular constructions.
